2026 Remote Job Market Report

Key findings

1. Most remote jobs don't need a degree. 24,681 of 41,633 open jobs (59%) are in careers like sales, customer service, virtual assistance, tech and tutoring where a degree is not the main requirement.
2. Healthcare is a remote powerhouse. 16,952 jobs (41%) are remote healthcare roles, led by physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, counselors and social workers.
3. 61% of jobs are open to the whole country. 25,347 listings don't limit where in the U.S. you live. The rest name specific states.
4. Thursday is the busiest day for new jobs. 9,395 of the last 90 days' new jobs appeared on a Thursday, about 50% more than on any other weekday.
5. The market keeps moving. 5,276 new remote jobs arrived in the last 7 days alone, roughly 754 a day.
6. Entry-level and part-time are scarce. Only 1,490 jobs (3.6%) are labeled entry level, junior, associate or trainee, and 1,339 (3.2%) are labeled part time.
